So, first and foremost - HAPPY 4/20 from NY - a now LEGAL state! On this fine 4/20 I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, because I want to tell you about a beautiful but sometimes temperamental bitch that blows some hot air (AKA the dotLeaf). On the outside, we have a really slick, great-to-the-touch, metal case with magnetic attachment points to clip onto the body which makes removal, and putting them back on, super easy. The front and the back face place both pop off to reveal the removeable (ceramic) dry herb chamber on one side, and then some user settings and a mode select button on the other side.
Accenting all of this black-on-black goodness is that ornate golden power/boost/on and off button to really tie it all together and give it that fancy Instagram-worthy look. To be fair, this thing looks and feels great, and that was one of it's selling points for me. The choice of materials here, and the craftsmanship - you can feel it.

What is it like to use though? In one word: temperamental. The ceramic bowl is large and can hold quite a bit of weed. It is removeable, which is a plus, but I had a lot of difficulty getting the device to recognize it's metal contact point (even after cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol) therefore alerting me with the, as I call it, "fucking flashing white lights mother FUCKER" of no smoking today.

To alleviate my issues, the company also recommended that I use a particular (Hohm Life) battery, which I did switch to, and it seemed to help although I'm not sure if that's me being more careful with the device, getting luckier, or if it actually worked. When the device was working it definitely went through a ton of weed but at the same time provided a potent cloud of get-your-ass-on-the-couch-you're-'bout-to-be-launching-off-into-space. Two, five-minute sessions and I was blazin'.
The heat setting I used was the 3rd highest setting out of the 4 which I believe was 215 degrees Celsius. It was quite warm, a little harsh, and had to be mixed partway through but it definitely used up every bit of that THC. I'd estimate that each session was about 4-5 minutes although I did not keep accurate time. I didn't take a picture of my final color of my AVB but it was definitely on the darker/toastier side.
According to their website, this device comes with the following:
One (1) dotLeaf
One (1) Dry herb tank
One (1) POM mouth piece
One (1) 14mm adapter
One (1) 18mm adapter
One (1) Multi tool
One (1) Brush
One (1) Type-C Charging Cable
One (1) Service pack
But this unit does NOT come with an 18650 battery. The price point for the dotLeaf is usually right at $160 but it's now on sale (as of 4/20 - here) for $128 (20% savings) which makes it even sweeter.
So, would I say it's worth that price? Based on use alone, no, but because it does work well when it decides not to be picky about it's dry herb tank, and because it's on sale, at that price it is totally worth it. The feel of this device and the quality of the materials it's made out of is really something to experience. The size and weight are great for me (I have bigger hands, too) and it has some definite portability (especially if you hike or something and pack multiple dry herb tanks to hit it and then swap it out) while also still feeling durable. I'd just like to shout out to Ace at dotLeaf for being so great with his customer service and getting this unit my way. Happy 4/20 to all you stoned bastards out there. Light (or vape) one up for me.
P.S. - Some extra shots
how can i contact you ?😊
